As the name suggests People Services really are all about our people. A talented team who share a passion for helping colleagues deliver their life’s best work in a high performing culture. From the nitty gritty of health and safety management to the dizzy heights of talent management there’s lots of opportunities within our People Services Team.
Our recruitment team are the ones responsible for helping other hiring managers across the business when it comes to placing new talent in their teams. From creating job adverts to helping with the selection process we would be lost without them. Acting as our employer brand ambassadors they’ll ensure that when you start a new role at Oakbrook you settle in as quickly as possible and have everything you need to get you up and running.
At Oakbrook we really do listen to what our colleagues tell us, that’s why we have a People Partnership team. The views of our colleagues are incredibly important to us, and as such, we have a team who manages our people surveys and helps to keep our colleagues engaged. But that’s not all they do. Creating and delivering colleague wellbeing strategies, continually improving (and its already pretty good) our benefits strategy and managing our inclusive twice yearly performance management processes we keep this team pretty busy.
Learning and Development
Our Learning and Development team are an amazing bunch, whose experience means they can quickly design bespoke training courses to suit any request. Creating and delivering development strategies for all colleagues across the business, delivering bespoke training, sourcing external training, and managing our internal communications strategy no day is ever the same while you’re in this team.
Facilities and Health and Safety
Our Facilities and Health and Safety Team really do look after us here at Oakbrook and manage all aspects of our Oakbrook office. From making sure we're all sitting in the right desk to orgnaising the logistics of our Christmas parties and other social events and conferences - we would be lost without them. They also help to manage the office administration and keep us on track making sure we're up to date with our compliance training courses. Generally if you have a question about somthing office related this is the team that can help you.
Yes - we really do have a Happiness Architect working at Oakbrook. This function is responsible for ensuring that we get the right balance of fun at work and that there's always plenty to get involved in. From organising Halloween celebrations in the office to Christmas fun and cheer, this team really do help to ramp up the fun in Oakbrook. They also co-ordinate our team of the month award and even organise walking groups, ensuring we're all getting our daily steps in. When you work at Oakbrook you'll always find somthing fun to get involed in.
